I was browsing through the internet and saw this picture
That reminded me that this was my first Walkman in 1986. My brother had also one of these. 
We were very proud to own such a expensive device and enjoyed it very much. Such a lovely little device (size I think about the size of a brick) where you could not only listen to tape but also to AM/FM radio.
So share your Hi-Tech Personal stuff from back to the 80s.

This was one of my electronic games back in the 80s.
It was a unique one. It had two screens. And the game: Donkey Kong!

This is how I spent alot of my time between these two:
Thats the second gen of the 2600 and it came out in the 80's thats the one I had. (for under $50 ($49.99) new)

@ D_M & Sirius: when the microcomputers arrived I was finishing high school  so my first contact with them was to work on them already. I was kicked from my first work (as a trainee) because I usually only talked about apples and TRS-80s. Then I gonna to a large company (1981) and there was some microcomputers over there (TRS-80s). As I only wanted to work on them, people passed to call me "microman"

I had a "ghetto blaster" like the small one on top. In fact, that was its name since I placed letter stickers on it stating so.
Dual cassettes was one of the best presents I got as a kid. I've been making my own "mix tapes" since then. I also would take apart cassettes and wind them upside down so I can listen to music backwards.
I would also spend a lot of time doodling in class designing my own boomboxes with elaborate equalizers and other fancy features. Sony should have hired me.  |

Fear the awesome computing power of an Apple II:
I played my very first computer game on this called Oregon Trail.
One time I decided not to pay someone to ferry across one of the rivers because it was only two feet deep. What could happen? Yeah most of my family drowned and I lost everything. I guess I should have bought swimming lessons instead of that extra ox...that drown too by the way.

I first thought you owned the whole ghetto blaster collection, JERIC Looks like you were predestined to be a (web) radio addict!
My first hi-tech toys were:
  
Donkey Kong II which was Dual screen, just like my DS! then a Microvision, the true gameboy ancestor and best of all my Amstrad (Schneider) CPC 6128, a computer that was very successful in Europe back in the 80s.
